our wedding

I married my high school sweetheart on September 15, 2012. I chronicled our wedding planning from beginning to end, and you can find every post in the series here. To make things a bit easier, I’ve outlined some of the most popular posts below:

We were engaged on the NC coast and shared the news via video. Here are the deets on my ring.

This is the inspiration board I created to guide our wedding’s aesthetic.

I love paper! More about our save the dates, and two posts about our wedding invitations (here + here).

Here’s a post about my attire, one about John’s, and one about our bridesmaids’.

We registered for fine china (more about our registry), had a bridal shower, and made a wedding website using Blogger.

Here’s the story of the last few days before our wedding.

Our ceremony was held at the United States Coast Guard Memorial Chapel in New London, CT (more about our venue choice). I wrote four posts explaining individual elements: communion, vows, music, and readings.

Our reception was held under a tent in the Sunken Garden of the O’Neill. Here are the details on our tent layout, here’s the marriage certificate I made for our guests to sign, and here’s more about why we chose this spot.

Here is our budget breakdown.

Inkspot Crow made an AMAZING film of the whole shebang. Tanja Lippert was our photographer, and we are still flabbergasted at and eternally grateful for the images she captured.

2.5 years later, we ordered a wedding album.

It was all very marvelous.
