Favorite new artist: Erin Gregory

8 February 2016

My birthday is coming up at the end of the month, and though I have a full wish list, one item has moved to the very top — and I’d be thrilled if it was all I received! That item? A painting from my new favorite artist, Erin Gregory.

After much debate, I settled on “Birthday Party II,” above, but it was a tough call between it and my second favorite, “Efflorescence 8,” below.

And here’s a look at my painting of choice in a gorgeous room (that wallpaper!):

I can’t believe how well it fits with our house’s colors. If I’m lucky enough to land this beauty, I’m planning to hang it above our fireplace. For a long time I wanted Michelle Armas’ famous canvas for that spot, and while I still love it, I think Erin’s flowers make me even happier (and are less expensive, to boot!).

Here are a few of my other favorites from her:

Finally, I have to give credit where credit is due – I discovered Erin via Morgan Trinker’s home tour on A Beautiful Mess. Here’s an Erin painting in Morgan’s gorgeous home!

The full tour is worth a look – super inspiring!

P.S. More of my favorite artists.

YES!!!! I love love LOVE Erin Gregory’s work! This was my #1 wish for Christmas 2 years ago. I ended up getting two square pieces that go really well together instead of one big piece and I still smile every time I see them. (I also have a lot more people recognizing her art since she’s started to become really popular through her One King’s Lane prints). Hope you get your beautiful piece!!

Oh my gosh. These are stunning. Morning sunshine 3 has just gone right to the top of my wish list!! We have a Victorian house and the bottom half of the hallway walls are painted in a orangey colour called Charlotte’s Locks. It is a perfect match. I wonder if she ships to the UK ….

Knowing that you love Erin Gregory + Michelle Armas, I think you’d particularly love the artists represented by Gregg Irby if you haven’t already found your way there (http://greggirbygallery.com/) Also, I love the favorite piece you selected – and now that I’ve finally seen your beautiful home in person, I can perfectly envision it there! June is so lucky to grow up in such a bright, cheerful home!

This is so wild. I’ve been enjoying/following Erin’s work since about 10 years ago when her portrait and street scenes were showing up in galleries in Alabama and Georgia. I had no idea she had moved into florals. So talented and so exciting!
